PARENT GUIDE · PHOTO TIPS
What photo works best for a personalised children’s book?
You do not need a studio portrait. One clear phone photo, taken in soft light with your child looking roughly towards the camera, is enough to get started.
Use even, natural light
A window or bright outdoor shade usually gives the face more detail than a strong flash or a patch of direct sunlight.
Keep the face easy to see
Choose a photo where hair, glasses and hands do not cover most of the face. A relaxed everyday expression is perfect.
One photo is enough
The upload flow asks for one image and explains how it is handled. You can use a recent phone photo rather than arranging a special photo session.
