What happens to my child's photo?: Nothing yet — the shop is not open and there is nowhere on this site to upload one. We hold no photos. How they are handled will be set out on the privacy page before uploads open.
What kind of photo do I need?: One clear photo of their face, looking roughly at the camera, in decent light. A normal phone photo is fine. No studio, no scanning, no forms about their favourite colour.
Which ages are these for?: Roughly one to six, depending on the book. Each one lists its own range — the first-words books skew younger, the feelings and friendship ones older.
Is it a printed book or a file?: At launch, a high-resolution PDF you can read on a screen or print yourself. Hardcover is what we are asked for most, and it is what we work on next.
Does my child actually look like themselves?: Yes — it is their actual face from the photo, not a drawing of it. Hair and skin tone stay exactly as they are. If it does not look like them, it is not finished.
When does it open?: We are finishing the last of the books. Leave your email and you will hear on the day it opens — one email, nothing else.
